巫字村是广东省汕头市潮南区红场镇的行政村。位于红场镇东北部，距镇政府驻地约17公里，属山地丘陵区的纯农山区村。[1]

先祖牛二在此建寨开村，起初叫牛二村，潮汕话中「牛」与「巫」、「二」与「字」读音相近，遂改称巫字村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清顺治年间（1644—1661）有人到此定居立村。1950年起归招岭乡；1958年公社化，成立巫字大队；1983年起隶林招乡；1986年起设巫字村委会；1992年划入林招管理区；1999年又恢复村委会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村共有466人（72户），山地1475亩，耕地169亩。[1]

村民以李姓为主，收入主要靠外出务工，种植青梅、杨梅、龙眼、油甘等。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
