集星村在练江支流北港运河与官田出水溪交汇处，是电影导演蔡楚生的祖籍地，蔡楚生故居即在村内。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯四年（1631年），浙江淳安人迁来定居，因溪中有一小丘、水涨不淹，称神仙仔村，清代改称神仙里村；1958年起为集星大队，1984年改为乡，1986年改设村委会。[1]
名胜与荣誉[edit]
蔡楚生故居为汕头市文物保护单位和爱国主义教育基地，陈列他用过的书桌、衣柜等生活用品及参与创作的27部影片的图片资料。[1]故居的情况见铜盂镇一条。
全村5741人（博雅地名网所载），农产以稻谷、甘薯为主。2022年10月列入「淘宝村」名单，2024年4月列入广东省首批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
