铜钵盂社区在潮阳区城西18公里，东接胜前，西接老溪西，南临练江，北靠北港运河，是铜盂镇人民政府驻地，铜盂镇之名即来自这里的土尾潭。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋嘉熙年间（1237—1240），苏州府教谕郭帅正任满后在此立籍建寨，村名铜钵盂。新中国成立后曾称红丰公社，1961年改和中农业生产大队，1984年改为乡，1986年改设村委会，1999年改居委会，沿用至今。[1][2]

聚落与建筑[edit]

社区内的土尾潭又名灵潭，潭形似钵盂，村名由此而来。聚落成片分布，共有老寨、老鼎元、新鼎元、仁记、田心等十多处居落；民居多为「下山虎」「四点金」，还有数处潮汕式园林和「四马拖车」格局的建筑。[2]

据博雅地名网，早年旅居上海的富商很多，村又有「小上海」「文化乡」之称；改革开放后新建新兴路、兴富路、环南路、和平路、环潭路，形成传统家具、红木家具、服装、文具、印刷、塑料等行业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，社区被确定列入2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建名单；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
