胜前社区位于铜盂镇政府东侧，东临练江北港，西与铜钵盂社区相接，辖区面积2.8平方千米，由胜前、埔头、港口、渡仙四个自然村组成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名原为沈前。北宋大中祥符年间，许姓先人迁来定居，称沈前许村；明正统五年（1440年），村人许信任福建长山县知县，告老还乡后取「今胜于昔」之意，改称胜前。[1]1951年称和东乡，1953年称东联乡，1959年改东联农业生产大队，隶铜盂公社；1984年改为乡，1986年改设村委会，1999年改居委会，即今社区。[1]
人口经济[edit]
博雅地名网记，社区共10260人（1831户），分村计，胜前约6600余人，埔头约1500余人，港口约1100余人，渡仙约900人；耕地合计1292亩，种水稻、甘薯和蔬菜，各自然村分别核算。[1]
2021年12月，社区获「广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月，被确定列入2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建名单。[1]
