凤皋社区在汕头市潮阳区和平镇，原名后沟，在镇政府南面，老和惠公路从境内经过。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

村后有一条沟渠，村名最初叫后沟，潮汕话「沟」与「皋」音近，后来改称凤皋。村志类材料称创村于南宋建炎年间（1127—1130年），王姓祖先在此定居。1958年起为凤皋农业生产大队，1984年改作凤皋乡，1986年建村委会，1988年改叫管理区，1999年又改居民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

简介称社区有378户、1972人，耕地50亩，企业12家，以彩条布、服装、五金、文具、化妆品、注塑为主（简介未注年份）。[1]2019年9月，凤皋社区进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
