凤善社区在汕头市潮阳区和平镇中段，位于练江南岸，总面积3平方公里。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

相传北宋宣和年间（1119—1125年），范姓祖先在此立村，因人乐善好施，称福善村；潮汕话里「福」与「凤」音近，后来雅称凤善。1949年，四个聚落（福美、凤皋、路美、竹兰后沟仔）并作一村，统称凤善；1958年起为凤善农业生产大队，1983年凤皋拆出，其余三处称凤善乡，1986年建村委会，1999年又改居民委员会。[1]

简介称社区有农户680户、农业户口4000人，多数人务工，企业20家，耕地171亩（简介未注年份）。[1]
