文光社区位于汕头市潮阳区文光街道，划为主城区，社区名来自境内的文光塔。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，辖地分属城内的锦缠坊和南桂坊。1958年10月二坊并为锦南居民区，归红潮人民公社；到1979年更名文光居民区，隶棉城镇；1999年起称文光居委会。[1]
