长沙社区是珠海市香洲区凤山街道辖下的社区。名称来自它主要管辖的长沙新苑小区，而长沙之名则源于明代在南大涌康济桥旁沙丘上设立的长沙圩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明代官府在南大涌康济桥旁一条约一千米长的沙丘上开设圩市，称长沙圩，隶香山县恭常都。民国年间划入中山县南乡区；1949年后先是中山县第五区的康济乡，1956年底转入珠海县，仍称康济乡。1979年建市时叫前山公社长沙大队，1985年公社改镇，大队随之成为长沙村委会，2001年撤村设居，名为长沙居委会，沿用到今天。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年12月15日，社区的党群服务中心和新时代文明实践站在建发央璟4栋首层揭牌启用，建筑面积600平方米，设计成新中式风格，凤山街道称这是香洲区首个新中式风格的活动阵地。[2]
