龙新社区在宝龙街道北部，2010年1月14日由龙东社区分出设立，辖区约5平方千米，有9个居民小组和8个花园小区。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

因是从龙东社区分出的新社区，故名龙新。[3] 2010年1月，原龙东社区以深汕公路为界一分为二，北面为龙新，同时实现「社企政企分开」。[1][2][4]

辖区[edit]

9个居民小组为赤石岗、桥背、新塘围、吓埔、大围、沙背坜，以及兰水坣的三个组；龙达、龙信、金龙苑3个小区属外卖地。[1] 辖区有10个工业园区、559家企业，房屋3649栋，计51295套（间）。[1]

环水楼在社区内，客家围屋，始建于清光绪六年（1880年），历时18年竣工，布局为三堂两横四角楼，是龙岗区文物保护单位。[5] 社区工作人员介绍则把它列为未定级不可移动文物，两种说法并存。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区在2017年成为全国「扫黄打非」进基层示范点。2018年11月，龙岗区第一个以个人名字命名的调解室「忠哥调解室」在这里挂牌，后获「2018年度中国十大社会治理创新奖」。[1]
