龙珠社区是广东省深圳市宝安区西乡街道的老城区社区，1995年由西乡墟镇划分设立，面积1.3平方公里，名称来自龙珠花园的“游龙戏珠”传说。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区因辖区内建有龙珠花园而得名；花园的部分住宅建在一座圆形小山上，传说此山“游龙戏珠”，故称龙珠。[1]

此地先属西乡圩镇大队。1995年4月4日，经宝安区政府批准，“西乡墟镇”拆为西乡、柳竹、龙珠、龙腾四个居委会；2002年3月龙珠居委会定名社区居委会，2004年7月又因镇改街道而冠以“西乡街道”之名。[1]

地理环境与人口[edit]

社区在西乡老城区、107国道的西侧，狭长如带，南北约3000米，面积1.3平方公里。住户多是购房迁来的；2013年末户籍8369人，暂住1.6万余人。辖区内有西乡中学初中部、龙珠幼儿园、西乡公园、铁仔山公园及西乡人民医院。[2]
