劳动社区是广东省深圳市宝安区西乡街道西南部的社区，面积2.3平方公里，1992年由翻身村分出设村，2017年获国家级充分就业社区称号。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

“劳动”取“劳动人民翻身得自由”之意。[1]

建国初期，劳动一带归黄田人民联乡，1951年归新西乡，1954年分属上合、翻身两乡。1958年3月入西乡大乡的翻身小乡，当年10月属超英人民公社西乡管理区，之后长期在翻身大队或翻身乡之下；1986年11月翻身改叫翻身村，劳动是其中一个自然村。1992年12月，劳动脱离翻身村自立为村，隶新安镇，1994年转属西乡镇；2004年7月城市化后改称社区居委会。[3]

地理环境与人口[edit]

社区在街道西南部，辖区2.3平方公里，多为平地，范围由劳动路与海城路（东）、兴业路（南）、悦和路（西）、新湖路（北）围合。共有15个住宅小区，商品房6个，城中村9个。2012年总人口约5.1万，原居民户籍者仅686人。[2]

荣誉[edit]

劳动社区在2017年5月被认定为「第四批国家级充分就业社区」。[1]
