白云村是南雄市澜河镇西北部的山区行政村，东面是帽子峰林场和澜河村，西接百顺镇，南靠上矽村，北边与洞底村及江西省交界，距澜河圩11公里。[1]1935年的北山事件发生在这里，村内设有南雄白云（北山）革命历史陈列。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年称白云农会，1954年改初级社，1956年改高级社，1961年成为白云大队，1983年设白云乡，1988年改称管理区，1998年12月撤销管理区、改设白云村委会，沿用至今。[1]

村名的由来：此地原叫「浓垌」，因林木茂密、浓荫覆盖得名；明清时澜河至百顺的驿道开通，行人翻越五斗岭，只见云雾缭绕，下岭后到浓垌，屋舍整齐，有「白云深处有人家」的诗意，渐渐称作「白云」。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村总面积31377亩，其中山林30134亩、毛竹9595亩、水稻1193亩，森林覆盖率65%；设10个村小组，总人口1441人。村民收入主要来自养猪、种毛竹和杉木等山林经营以及外出务工，村集体收入靠电站发包；农作物以花生、优质稻和蔬菜为主。[1]

2021年12月，白云村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]

文化[edit]

1935年10月，叛变的龚楚纠集人员冒充红军游击队，在白云村以北约12公里的粤赣交界处龙狮石骗去六七十名游击队人员开会，随即发生战斗，多数人牺牲或被俘，史称北山事件。2018年11月，南雄市在当地落成红军烈士纪念碑。[3]村内的南雄白云（北山）革命历史陈列，以北山地区新中国成立前二十四年的历史为主线。[2]
