上矽村是南雄市澜河镇西部的山区行政村，与上澜村、百顺镇和白云村相邻，离澜河圩15公里。[1]当地传说，有神仙到此，向路人打听是否见过一群黑猪经过，路人答没见到猪，只见很多石头，此地因石多而叫「上矽」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年称上矽农会，1954年改初级社，1956年转为高级社，1961年成为上矽大队，1983年设上矽乡，1988年改称管理区，1998年12月撤销管理区、改设上矽村委会，沿用至今。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，全村总面积29424亩，其中山林28900亩、毛竹20500亩、水稻1700亩，森林覆盖率75%；下设19个自然村，总人口1843人。村民收入主要来自养猪、养鸡、种毛竹杉木和外出务工，特色是种植毛竹并发展红豆杉；集体收入来自林场发包和电站，农作物以花生、优质稻和蔬菜为主。[1]
2019年9月，上矽村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年，南雄市供电局挂点帮扶该村，升级了澜河至上矽的10千伏供电线路。[1][2]
