长来镇在广东省韶关市乐昌市的南部，处于乐昌盆地南缘，离市区约7千米，东面是廊田镇，南面与乳源瑶族自治县桂头镇相接，西、北两面连着乐城街道。镇域面积94.13平方千米，镇政府设在长来村。[1]辖1个社区、12个行政村，2019年末户籍人口25784人。[1]境内有省级文物保护单位背坑张氏三公祠，以及北宋冶铁遗址铁屎岭矿冶遗址。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

明代至清初，这一带属灵口乡；清代中叶改称南乡；民国时期为乐昌县第三区。[1][3]1949年12月，本镇的前身政区组建，其后先后称区、乡、区公所和人民公社；1987年1月起改设为镇。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域地势西高东低，以丘陵为主；镇区所在的地方属乐昌盆地南部。京广铁路在境内设有安口站。[1][2][3]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所引的镇概况，2002年全镇生产总值5.16亿元，耕地共21142亩（含水田16082亩），以农业为主。[3]2019年，全镇一般公共预算收入为2511.9万元，较上年多46.6%。农村居民的人均可支配收入是16024元，增幅9.4%。当年镇内工业企业共21家，规模以上的有3家。[1]各村种有马蹄、香芋、蔬菜等：金竹山村、前溪村以香芋闻名，金竹山村2021年列入广东省第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（香芋），和村村同批入选的是蔬菜专业村。[3]长来镇列入「广东省“百千万工程”第二批专业镇建设名单」，时间是2025年5月；此前的2022年1月，它获评「2021年度广东省卫生城镇」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

  • 安口村的背坑张氏三公祠，为纪念张偲、张仁、张偕而建，现存建筑始建于宋绍兴年间，清嘉庆年间重修；在2019年4月19日列入第九批广东省文物保护单位名单。[5]
  • 和村村五汪的谭氏宗祠，为纪念北宋谭必而建，院落呈长方形，门楼、前厅和殿堂依次排开，祠内建筑共177平方米。[3]
  • 铁屎岭矿冶遗址，坐落在五汪东北的几座山岗上，属北宋时期粤北规模较大的冶铁遗址，约5.4万平方米，东西跨450米，南北宽逾120米。[3]

著名人物[edit]

谭必（1006—1052），字子思，五汪谭氏始祖，据民国二十年《乐昌县志》载其少时即以聪颖好学著称。[3]龚楚（1901—1995），原名龚福昌，长来村人，少将，1925年在广州加入中国共产党，是乐昌早期的共产党员。[3]王鉴，字执中，安口村人，以贡元身份于明建文二年（1400）出任岳州府判，永乐十三年（1415）升任工部主事。[3]
