附城村位于乐昌市乐城街道辖区内，属行政村。村的建制始于1958年的附城大队；1983年改为附城乡，1987年定名附城村委会，1989年一度称附城管理区，1998年复称附城村委会，此后未变。[1]

2023年4月出炉的2022年广东省「乡村治理示范村」创建名单中有它，2019年9月它还进了广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单。[1]
