洪莲村位于乐昌市乐城街道辖区内，属行政村。村的建制始于1958年的洪莲大队；1983年改为洪莲乡，1987年定名洪莲村委会，1989年一度称洪莲管理区，1998年复称洪莲村委会，此后未变。[1]
2026年3月，它被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
