下徐村是仁化县闻韶镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在下徐自然村，村旁有广东省文物保护单位华林寺塔。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名因村委会驻下徐自然村而来。建国后先称乡，1958年改大队，其后几经乡、村委会、管理区的更替，1998年起定名下徐村委会。[2]2019年9月，下徐村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

华林寺塔为六角七层的楼阁式砖塔，建于北宋元丰五年（1082年），1989年列为广东省文物保护单位。[3][4]据百度百科，塔通高19.6米，相传是僧人华林为镇瘟疫而募资修建，他圆寂后葬在塔下，塔边的华林寺如今已不存。[3]维基百科称塔边长1.84米，残高21.74米，塔身铭文砖记有建塔年代。[4]1990年的修缮中，塔西南角的五、六层之间出土了98枚北宋铜钱（咸平至元丰年号）、青瓷杯和银质小佛像等物。[3]

镇政府的介绍把这座塔、元代铁钟和一株三百余年的老茶树并称“下徐三件宝”。[1]

县政府网站介绍，华林寺塔又称下徐和尚庵，在下徐村北面约300米的华林寺旁；塔身为砖砌，用灰色砖夹少量红色砖，斗拱檐、平座阁楼式，底部有反叠涩的圆角塔座，塔高约19.6米，塔内青砖台阶可逐层上到塔顶。[5]
