名称来由：居委会驻地在沙洲尾，取金光灿烂之意命名。[1]

2009年9月，社区获评「广东省“六好”平安和谐社区」；2020年5月，列入「韶关市2020年市级“民主法治村（社区）”」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区东界为沿江西路，西界为芙蓉东路，北到金泽园至金福园南侧一线，南到芙蓉新城南端；主要道路有金洲一至四横路、芙蓉东路、沿江西路和沙洲路。驻区单位有韶关市福利彩票发行中心和市航道管理局武江分局。[1]
