麦村为广州市增城区正果镇所辖的行政村（博雅地名网写作麦村村），村辖区面积约3.8平方千米，距镇区7公里，人口1253人。[1]

村名由来[edit]

宋末元初，麦元俊靠贩卖豆豉迁到这里定居；后来村里原有的黄姓村民渐少，只剩麦姓，村子便叫麦村。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村民以耕种养殖为主，村里有迟菜心种植基地，菜心销往外地，增城区政府也把“麦村迟菜心”列入正果的特产。[1][2]

2019年9月，麦村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国期间属增城县第三区梅江乡；建国后先编入新五区的下西乡，后属中西乡；1957年组建麦村高级社，1958年改称麦村大队；1983年撤社建麦村乡，1987年设麦村村民委员会。[1]
