花城村是广州市花都区花山镇下辖的行政村，因位于花城圩内而得名，是花县旧县治所在。[1] 村内有花县县立初级中学钟楼、胡嘉宾墓两处广州市文物保护单位，另有文笔岭观音古寺。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

康熙二十四年（1685年）花县设立，县治在平岭村，也就是今天的花城。花城在1946年7月改为乡级建制；1949年10月下旬，花县人民政府宣告成立，地点就在花城。1958年称东安大队，1960年同新庄大队合并后改称花城。村民委员会于1987年1月设立，起初属花山区公所，3月转归花山镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

花县县立初级中学钟楼在花城中学校内，建于1935年，类别为「近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑」，于2008年12月入选第七批广州市文物保护单位。胡嘉宾墓在狮茅岭，年代为清，属古墓葬，同批公布。[1]

文笔岭观音古寺始建于清嘉庆年间（1808年），抗日战争时期遭严重破坏，后来又被人为损毁，1995年重建。[1]

荣誉[edit]

花城村在2019年9月上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2021年9月进入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（水产种苗）；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
