两龙社区是广州市花都区花山镇下辖的社区，以所在的两龙圩为名，城乡分类为主城区。[1] 居委会设在两龙大街26号。[1]
两龙圩在花都区城东北约11公里，清咸丰年间建圩，因北面有两座形如龙的山、其间一块大石似珠而得名。[2] 1987年1月，社区的前身属花山区公所，3月起归花山镇人民政府。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1987年1月，两龙一带归花山区公所；同年3月，改隶花山镇人民政府。2001年，居委会迁到两龙大街26号，沿用至今。[1]
两龙墟的由来有多种说法：一说清咸丰年间有人家迁到青龙山、白龙山脚，两山之间的珍珠石成「两龙争珠」之势；同治年间，两龙山一带二十个姓氏的村民合资办了悦贤书院和广惠善堂，圩市跟着热闹起来；《花山镇志》则记为清同治十二年由沥村人发起。[3] 墟日原为农历每月尾数逢四、逢九，近年改为公历逢四、逢九。[3]
荣誉[edit]
两龙社区在2019年9月上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；广州市住建部门于2021年11月确定它为「广州市2021年绿色社区」；2024年11月，又被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
