前进街道是广东省广州市天河区东部的街道，办事处设在东圃前进村宦溪东路一带，名称来自原东圃镇的前进村[1]。街道于2002年12月由东圃镇划出的前进村大部分地区和珠村的一部分组成，辖区面积约4.9平方千米，2020年第七次全国人口普查时人口约9.28万[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

街道设立于2002年12月，范围取自原东圃镇前进村（龙水埗一带另划归黄村街道）和珠村位于中山大道以南的力子园一带，因前进村而得名，其后名称未变[1]。据2003年的记载，辖区总人口20019人，常住的约5000人；当时下辖6个社区，另有前进村委会，6个社区为石溪、宦溪、莲溪、羊城花园、天力居、怡东[1]。

地理环境[edit]

街道东起天河区与黄埔区的交界线，沿中山大道向西，南部濒临珠江，与海珠区隔江相邻[1]。地铁5号线的东圃站、三溪站和13号线的天河珠村站位于辖区一带[2]。

社区[edit]

街道现有11个社区：羊城花园、石溪、宦溪、莲溪、天力居、怡东、盈彩、美林湖畔、菁品、桃源、兰亭。其中盈彩社区于2005年设立，美林湖畔社区于2007年挂牌；2016年7月4日，盈彩、莲溪等社区的部分区域拆分，增设菁品、桃源、兰亭等社区[1]。石溪、宦溪、莲溪等社区仍保留原来的自然村，城中村与新建住宅小区并存。

名胜古迹[edit]

石溪村内有刘氏大宗祠（清道光十年，1830年建）、仕清秦公祠（清代建）和绿筠溪馆（清光绪三十四年，1908年建，含迁街助地金题名碑），均为岭南传统建筑[1]。

著名人物[edit]

  • 秦悦会（1159年—1224年），号石溪，南宋进士，被视为秦姓入粤始祖，是天河区石溪村秦氏的始祖[1]。
  • 凌震（1235年—1315年），号雷门，出生在番禺县东圃宦溪乡，即今宦溪村，祖籍福建莆田[1]。
  • 秦明纲（1862年—1926年），石溪村人，是秦悦会的后人，1892年获任五品同知，后在商界开设丝绸庄与丝厂[1]。
