洪桥街道隶属广东省广州市越秀区，处在区的中部偏西，东以东濠涌、南以东风路、西以解放北路、北以环市路为界，面积约1.52平方千米。[1]街道由三眼井、越秀山、北园、法政、马庄巷、洪庆坊、丹桂里、德源里8个社区居委会分管，名称来自境内的明代古桥「黉桥」，后简写为「洪桥」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记述：宋至清，这里归南海县管辖；1912年后划入广州市小北区。洪桥街道建于1950年，小北街同年并入；1960年同仓边街道合为洪桥公社，次年分开，街道复设。[1]

辖区与广东科举有关：广东贡院南宋时始建，原址在如今的小北路与洪桥街附近，毁于战乱；康熙年间（清）改在文明路一带重建。[2]小北一带的「丹桂里」「步蟾坊」等地名仍保留着贡院的记忆。[2]清末的广东法政学堂迁到天官后街，法政路、法政右巷因而得名。[3]

地理环境[edit]

区内的干道和街巷包括小北路、应元路、越秀北路、法政路，外围有东风路与环市路。[1]越秀山上的镇海楼、五羊石雕、明代古城墙、四方炮台和孙中山纪念碑，博雅地名网把它们列为街道的景点。[1]

省、市党政机关和一些军队单位、企业的办公地点设在辖区内。[1]2024年广州日报报道，街道推进「小北青年创想街区」建设，对小北片区进行品质提升，改造面积2.1万平方米；北园酒家的「绮秀楼」和东秀湖的「秀名城」等处改建为文创空间，合计超过2000平方米。[5]

文化[edit]

街道打造「求学黉桥」主题路径，串联起一所小学的3个校区和3所幼儿园，并成立了洪桥街普惠托育园；民间文艺团体有洪桥客家山歌协会、小北乐社和北秀书画会等。[1][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

北园酒家位于小北路202号，创建于1928年，与泮溪酒家、南园酒家并称「广州三大园林酒家」，其庭园于2015年8月被认定为广州市文物保护单位。[6]马庄巷社区的法政右巷建有马庄巷口袋公园。[3]
