村子位于溪边，溪旁多沙，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地属沙洋乡，称沙溪村；1958年划入沙洋管理区，称沙溪大队；1961年属沙溪小公所。1984年改称沙溪村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，沙溪村被确定为2023年度宁德市「一村一品」专业村。[1]
