龙潭村是福建省宁德市周宁县狮城镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西面约1千米处，村子古称龙爪滩，302省道穿村而过，是周宁城区的西大门。[1][2]

村南的银屏峰海拔1360.4米，是县城的主要风景区之一。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

五代时，赫茂、赫盛率族人在此开发，改名黄潭；民国时改为龙潭。[2]

1935年此地归周墩特种区周墩联保处，1940年设龙安保，属周墩镇。1959年1月设龙潭大队，归端源公社；1961年改归城关镇，1966年8月划入城关公社。[2][3]

1984年6月，大队撤销，改为村民委员会，隶狮城镇，当时村内有龙潭、上岗后、下岗后三个自然村。80年代后期，两个岗后村的村民迁入主村。[2][3]

经济[edit]

道光年间（1821–1850年），已有少量工匠以铸锅为业。改革开放后，村内建起铸造厂、机砖厂、茶叶初制厂和粮食加工厂。村西枇杷岗上，县政府于1992年划出一片铸造工业开发区。[2][3]

文化[edit]

刘氏宗祠始建于明嘉靖元年（1522年），博雅地名网称它是全镇保存至今最老的建筑。[2]

村中有“三月三”习俗，内容包括抬龙灯、演社戏，原为祭祖的日子。[2]
