村头村是寿宁县大安乡东部的行政村，距乡政府约3公里，因主村位于溪流源头而得名。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子原名龄溪，又名龟浦。主村位于溪边村落的前头，故改名村头。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村落地势南北高，东西狭长。溪流约20米宽，自村中穿过，弯弯曲曲向下，经泮洋村流入犀溪镇西浦村一带。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

金氏始祖金璞于南宋淳熙年间（1174年至1189年）由乡内分出，定居于此。[2]

1958年设村头大队，属红光公社；1959年并入鳌阳公社；1970年归大安公社；1984年改设大安乡村头村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

《爱在廊桥》主要外景选在本村拍摄；本村亦有「村头狮泮洋戏」的说法。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年2月，村头村列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为2021年福建省卫生村。[2]
