南阳村是南阳镇的中心村，距寿宁县城约12公里[1][2]。村子坐落在丘陵间的小盆地里，周围群山环绕，地面平缓，村中有两条溪水流过[1]。村内有省级文物保护单位报祖祠大殿和县级文物保护单位岳阳桥[4][6]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据村情简介所载：先人曾迁居他处，传至第五代的龚琼踏雪寻牛，来到半月山下，见此处虽位于山南却阳光充足，便定居下来，并取村名为「南阳」[1]。博雅地名网则称，龚氏的开基始祖龚载由浙江金华府迁入[2]。

原属本村的清湾岗、天炉平两个自然村已迁入主村，村内现设福兴新村、兰花林新村两个社区[1]。

村情简介称全村共5023人、1712户，村民的主要收入以茶叶为主，村域土地总面积为9990亩[1]。福寿高速在村域内设有互通口，双湖二级公路从村中穿过，交通便利[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

报祖祠大殿坐西北向东南，现仅存大殿，原有的门楼、钟鼓楼和祠堂均已毁。博雅地名网认为该祠最早建于宋代，明嘉靖十年（1531年）曾经重修，清康熙三十三年（1694年）又加修葺[2][3]；百度百科则将其建成之年定在明嘉靖十年（1531年）[4]。殿内保存清道光五年（1825年）所铸铜钟，该殿于2001年1月被认定为省级文物[4][5]。

岳阳桥为石拱桥，明嘉靖十七年（1538年）始建，清道光二十四年（1844年）修葺。桥上早先建有奎星阁，此阁在1933年因火灾损毁。该桥于2003年2月被定为县级文保单位[6]。
