甘棠村是甘棠乡下辖的行政村，也是乡政府驻地，位于屏南县城以南约18公里处，省道203线穿村而过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，此地属长桥区，为甘棠乡的村落。1958年归甘棠公社，设甘棠大队；1984年改设甘棠乡甘棠村委会，地名沿用至今。[1]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村656户，总人口2865人，辖区包括楼下里、宅前、寨下三个自然村，共20个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

历史上，村里以草席编织为特色产业，产品远销县内外，后因工艺陈旧被淘汰。如今以水稻、马铃薯、蔬菜和果类为主，并种植食用菌。[2]

文化[edit]

甘棠村于2021年11月获评福建省卫生村，评定单位为福建省爱卫办。[1]
