南湾村位于屏城乡西南部，村落建于鸡鸣山南麓的山湾处，村名由此而来。主村距城关约12公里，村中有千亩梯田资源。[1][2]

村情[edit]

全村257户760人。村内辖蔡厝、郑家墩两个自然村，另有一个已搬迁的下村。主要作物为水稻，经济作物以高山蔬菜为主。[1]

村落与古迹[edit]

村中有陆、吴两姓宗祠，路弄间立有石人。齐天大圣庙和土主殿在村边，土主殿旁有千年红豆杉5株，村尾另有千年红豆杉3株，村外有茶盐古道。麒麟山脚的宝林禅寺据称已有上千年历史。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年度获「全省乡村振兴示范村」称号。2023年12月被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1][2]
