南阳村位于文亨镇，处于蓆湖营的下游，古时称下洋或下营。因地理位置在湖峰的南端，后改正名为南阳。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初此地属文亨区湖峰乡，1958年划为文亨公社湖峰大队的一部分。1984年，村子随文亨乡设立南阳村委会。[1]

2010年撤乡并镇后，南阳村归属文亨镇。村委驻地设在南阳自然村，村内共八个自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，南阳村获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号；2024年1月，又获「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。2021年8月，被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
