新中村位于东留镇南部，处在东留水库的中心地段。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地称中仚村，属中仚保。解放后经过初级社时期，1956年两个初级社并为高级社，村名定为新中社。[1]

1958年成立新中大队，1984年起改称村委会，此后隶属东留镇。[1]

文化[edit]

新中村获得「2023年福建省卫生村」称号，时间在2024年1月；2023年1月，该村又获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
