回龙村位于官庄畲族乡北端，汀杭公路穿村而过，闽赣公路由武平、长汀经此会合，是汀、杭、武三地的交通节点。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

相传元末开基时，有一位妇人在汀江岸边洗衣，遇到一位神仙下凡，神仙问此地叫龙上还是龙下，妇人答以龙下，村名便叫龙下。[1] 清初有人嫌龙下不妥，就从朱堡一带的小溪开渠引水，水流由上而下，称为回龙水，村名遂改为回龙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

回龙村的前身在清代归平安里，民国时称回龙保，1949年后定名回龙村。[3] 1984年起隶属官庄乡，村级建制为回龙村民委员会；1988年随乡改制为畲族乡体制。[3] 现辖13个自然村，分为34个村民小组。[3]

地理环境[edit]

汀江上新建的回龙电站截流灌溉与发电，回龙大桥横跨汀江，村内的兴隆街道两边楼房林立。[2] 全村土地面积14520亩；耕地2280亩，林地11340亩，其中生态公益林为8500亩。[2]

人口民族[edit]

文化[edit]

本村在2015年10月列入「福建省第一批省级传统村落」名单。[1]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号。[1] 2026年1月，本村被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
