中村是上杭县蛟洋镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北部，交通较为不便。村名的来历有两种说法：一说清代称忠村，又称中村；另一说村中溪流弯折处立有“社路前”，祀奉“真精光禄大夫”，附近村落的人按节令前来拜祭，村名由此而来[1]。
