中村位于洪山镇东部，背靠王寿山，面朝龙湖。从永定城区进入洪山，要经过此村，龙湖旅游码头即设在村中。[1]

村名相传来自开基之时此地遍布枫树林。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后归永定第九区中山乡；1958年改为中硕大队，1980年冬分出中村大队，1984年称洪山乡中村村民委员会，2021年6月改为洪山镇中村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年11月，村被认定为福建省第二批「省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
