寨头村位于峰市镇，是离广东松东最近的行政村。村中的姓氏只有刘、张两种。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：村口有一处水磜，村子在它的上方，因此得名寨头。[1]

解放前，这里归峰市特种区。新中国成立后，它划入第九区的忠寨乡，1958年改隶下水乡。公社时期，寨头与邻村并为一个大队；1984年6月重归峰市乡，1989年3月独立分村，定名寨头村民委员会。[1]

寨头村在2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，评定单位是省爱卫办。2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有古建筑多宝宫；另有回澜桥，是一座古老的拱桥。树木方面，村里还有百年以上的榆树、榕树数棵。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

刘姓聚居处统称寨头坝，是峰市“二坝一坪”中的一坝，因村头村尾都有“寨”，中间被水冲积成盆地而得名。库区移民后，刘姓分别安置在井边段和鸡嫲窝（石梓奇）两处后靠点；张姓住在张岭下、塘尾窝两个自然村。[1]
