龙潭村是龙潭镇的集镇所在地，镇人民政府驻地即在村中，村辖三堂屋、洋甲、石燕、山子尾、凑阁五个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村边溪流中有一处深潭，相传潭中有龙居住，村因此得名龙潭。龙潭乡、龙潭镇等地名也都由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时，龙潭村隶属上丰乡；1949年后归第四区的龙潭乡。1958年划入抚市公社，1962年以本村为核心设龙潭大队，隶属龙潭公社，1965年回归抚市公社。1984年成为抚市乡的龙潭村委会，1992年改由抚市镇管辖。1993年新设龙潭乡，村委会改属其下；1997年撤乡设镇，村委会隶属龙潭镇至今。[1]

经济[edit]

2011年，农民人均收入为9580元，村财政收入约20万元。村中主要从事种植、运输和经商。[2]

文化[edit]

龙潭村获得的称号包括：2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
