南阳村位于镇域中部，是红坊集镇所在地，镇人民政府驻于此村。村庄地处墟场南面，地势平坦向阳，村名由此而来。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属铁石乡表政里，原称南洋村落；清代归黄坑社。民国时期先为紫岗乡下的南阳保，后仍以南阳保为名。[1]

1932年建立区苏维埃政权，其后改称紫岗乡南阳村。1958年设南阳大队，此后于1984年设立南阳村委会，隶属红坊镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的曹菊如故居为县级文物保护单位，2017年公布。[4]

荣誉[edit]

南阳村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
