东门社区位于龙岩市区东部，社区之名取自旧龙岩县城的东门。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

这一带靠近古龙岩县城的东门，社区因此取名东门。[1]

1982年以前，这里属城东居委会；1982年设立东门居委会，2002年改称东门社区居民委员会。[1]

社区先后获得龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号：2020年度（2021年1月公布）、2022年度（2023年1月公布）和2023年度（2024年1月公布）。[1]
