龙村是龙村乡的乡政府驻地，位于乡境北部，是乡内的集镇所在地，距建瓯市区约44千米。全村下设6个自然村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村内地势海拔510米，土地面积10.4平方千米。村名的来历有两说：一说村中河道弯曲，形如一条龙；另一说溪中多石，石上有龙角般的磨痕。此前溪名龙溪，后改称龙村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初，此地先隶水吉县下墘区，名为龙村乡（1949年）；1956年转入建瓯县小松区；1958年成立龙村公社；1984年，它又成为龙村乡之下的龙村村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

每年农历正月十五，西林寺举办庙会，村中同时有舞龙活动，称「祥龙家家送福」。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村内林区面积较大，出产木材、毛竹、鲜笋、锥栗、杨梅和香菇。[2]
