新厝村位于邵武市西南部，西北与桂林乡为邻，辖八个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村民先前住在对面，后迁到此处建村，故名新厝。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年此处为新理乡，隶属第六区。1958年建新厝大队，1984年改设村委会，此后地名一直沿用。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植烟草、稻谷为主，山上产毛竹、松树和杉木。[1]
