西坑村是政和县岭腰乡下辖的行政村，与横坑、高山、长垅、前溪、锦屏、岭腰等村相邻。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村庄位于山坑的西端，因此叫西坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国33年设西坑保，隶启贤乡。1954年设西坑乡，隶第四区；1958年改为西坑大队，隶红旗公社。1984年改为西坑行政村，设立村民委员会；1997年从铁山划出七个行政村设岭腰乡，西坑村归岭腰乡管辖。[1]

经济[edit]

村内竹林面积较大，毛竹资源是发展竹产业的基础，村中已有毛竹半成品加工企业。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，西坑村被认定为2021年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄。[1]
