村头村位于花桥乡西部，距松溪县城十六公里，属老区基点村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子坐落在花桥田塅的上方，因此叫村头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始于1941年，当时属驻在花桥的第二区署所辖的花桥乡。1949年仍归花桥乡，1958年划入东风公社花桥大队，1960年另设村头大队，归花桥公社。1984年起，大队改为村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，福建省绿化委员会授予村头村「2022年福建省森林村庄」的称号。2020年11月，村头村入选「2020年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]
