村头村是浦城县万安乡的行政村，位于县境东部，濒临南浦溪，距县城约5公里，东与富岭镇相接。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网载，村子位于一带村庄的前端，因此得名。[1]

民国时期隶体仁镇，后归西山镇。1949年归第一区，1954年划入第二区万安乡；1956年改隶富岭区，成为村头乡；1958年归城郊公社，设村头大队；1961年改隶桥头公社，1964年归莲塘公社，1972年转水南公社，1977年转入村头公社，1981年划入万安公社，1984年设村头村村民委员会，隶万安乡。[1]
