东门社区是福建省南平市顺昌县双溪街道下辖的社区，位于县城东部，居委会2000年9月由建光居委会分出。顺昌火车站与东门大桥都在辖区内，龙山一带立有顺昌革命烈士纪念碑。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

居委会所辖区域在城区东面，故以“东门”为名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2000年9月，东门居委会由建光居委会划分出来设立。2006年5月双溪镇与水南镇合并，社区随之改隶双溪街道。[1]

交通与设施[edit]

东门大桥建于1961年，选址在古济川桥址上，1972年改建，1973年竣工，全长363.56米，桥面宽11米，全桥15孔，为双拱桥。顺昌火车站位于辖区内，建于1956年，经扩建后有宽敞的候车室与301米长的站台，货场停车场为3000平方米，共8条轨道，属于客货混运的三等站。[2]

革命史迹[edit]

东门大桥头的龙山上立有顺昌革命烈士纪念碑。1933年9月13日，东方军在顺昌发起攻城战，队长李春仁与七十余名突击队员为此牺牲，纪念碑即为纪念他们而立。彭德怀曾为此写信，并撰写碑词“人民英雄永垂不朽”。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区先后两届被南平市委、市政府授予「文明社区」称号，分别是2001至2002年度与2003至2005年度。2005年11月，社区因企业退休人员社会化管理工作达标，获省级部门授予「达标单位」称号。[2]
