村头村是福建省南平市延平区巨口乡的行政村，位于闽北山区，与古田县交界，距乡政府约9公里，海拔150米。[1]村子是革命老区村，也是乡内列入中国传统村落名录的村庄之一。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据《1993年南平市志·地名志》，村委会设在村头，此地又在田溪一带村落的上游，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明初（1368年）此地归余庆东里管辖，1657年（清顺治十四年）改入余东里。1934年起属南平县第三区余庆乡，1941年改属余东西乡，1943年又归余庆乡，1949年划入第二区。[1]

1958年，此地并入红旗（樟湖）人民公社，1961年起称村头大队；1963年划入巨口公社，1984年改设村头村委会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村中以杨、黄两姓为多。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村辖黄连自然村。[1]

文化[edit]

2015年10月入选福建省第一批省级传统村落；2016年12月列入第四批中国传统村落名录；2021年12月被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[1]
