东门村位于南山镇中部，面积为1.024万亩，共289户、1194人，下辖2个自然村。村名因村委会驻东门而得名，东门位于镇驻地以东。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年），村委会驻东门，此处位于镇驻地东面，是通往洋后镇的必经之路，故村以东门为名。明洪武元年（1368年）此地属普安里，当时称雁庵境、东门坊。民国年间归大凤镇管辖，1954年属第二区东门乡；1958年称东门大队，1984年改为东门村村民委员会，1992年归南山镇。[1][2]

文化[edit]

1933年8月，红军第三军团的彭德怀、滕代远率部围攻南平城，部分红军曾到村内大坑一带宣传革命。1948年，中共闽浙赣省委机关迁到大坑后山。1987年，东门村被福建省评定为老区基点村。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

东门枇杷山遗址属青铜时代，列入2012年名录。村中另有明代的东门古刹。[1][3]
