西坑村位于福建省漳州市平和县坂仔镇的西北部，距镇区约3公里，是一个农业村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子四周环山，溪坑之水自西向东绕村流入坂仔镇区，因此得名西坑。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

1958年，本村编入坂仔公社，称西坑大队；1984年，改为西坑村委会。[1]

概况[edit]

全村有12个村民小组，422户，1603人。[1] 村子是山区，多数民居建在山上，分布较为分散。[1] 村子是山区老区，也是革命基建村。[1]

乡村振兴[edit]

1998年11月，时任福建省委副书记习近平到西坑考察，提出“五点要求”，此后西坑成为指导坂仔“三农”工作的重要参照。[2]

2024年2月，西坑村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1] 2022年9月，西坑村被认定为「漳州市2022年度市级“一村一品”专业村」（琯溪蜜柚）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，西坑村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[1] 西坑村入选「2021年福建省卫生村」，入选决定由福建省爱卫办作出，时在2021年11月。[1]
