大山村是南靖县金山镇下辖的山区行政村，地势较高，海拔324米，距镇政府所在地5.5公里。全村总面积10.2平方公里，辖36个自然村落。村中以王姓为多，麻竹笋的收入是村民的主要经济来源之一。[1]

地名由来[edit]

因地处山区，四面高山环绕，故名大山。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后设大山乡，公社化时改为大队，1984年改为村委会。[2]

全村778人，212户，耕地面积1600亩，共有8个村民小组。[1]

家族[edit]

村中王姓占大多数，吴姓也是村中的大姓。据王氏族谱记载，王氏至今已繁衍传承25代。[1]

物产[edit]

村民根据山区的气候条件，除种植柑桔、蜜柚等水果外，也开垦荒山种植杉树、松树和麻竹。如今多数村民靠麻竹笋增收，家家种竹，户户收笋。[1]
