东门村是梅岭镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南部，东南面临诏安湾，西接南门村，北倚烟墩山。全村只辖东门一个自然村，村委会驻东门。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村名取自驻地东门自然村。民国时此地属梅中乡。解放后先属第一区，再归第三区宫玄乡；其后，1955年划入桥东区宫城乡，此后，1956年又改隶四都区宫玄乡。[1]

1958年并入东方红人民公社宫口管理区，接着，1961年5月划为下河公社的东门大队。其后，1964年改隶桥东公社，此后，1978年复归下河公社，接着，1982年归梅岭公社。其后，1984年10月起由梅岭乡的东门村委会管理，此后，1991年起称现名。[1]

自然环境与生计[edit]

村落呈长方形，吴、林、黄等姓杂居。村民讲闽南话，分为3个村民小组，全村204户、926人。[1][2]

村内耕地约320亩，山地约1800亩，主种水稻、花生与地瓜。渔业以海水捕捞为主，出产金色沙丁鱼、马鲛、鲳鱼等，海上可直航厦门、汕头。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内悬钟城与果老山石刻均为县级文物保护单位。悬钟城东约200米处有明代的外城墙与石塔，同样列入县级文物保护单位。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月认定东门村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
