港头村是佛昙镇下辖的行政村，村址位于镇西北，村名来自南、西两面所临的鸿儒江上游港头溪。村内有12个村民小组，自然村为港头与楼脚；居民以林姓为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年，此地属外东区（第三区，即佛昙区）；1940年归林东乡港头保。新中国成立初属第五区（佛昙区）下坑乡。[2]

1958年9月设港头生产大队，1984年9月改按镇建制设行政村。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

林姓聚居。开基祖林泉在元代迁来，林氏祠堂名「黛峰家庙」，堂号「庆善堂」。林氏的后人还散居在南澳、潮州、南靖、晋江、漳州及台北等处，漳浦城北街也有。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地1674亩，其中水田742亩；虾池1000亩。1977至1980年间修成拦溪引水渠，引港头溪水灌溉农田。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

「港头寨」又称寨仔山十八洞，山涧巨石奇形怪状，有石锣、石鼓，洞寨口多处。[2]

「刁氏土楼」为明代古建筑。[2]
